Hi, I'm Avi

A little about me, my training, and my coaching:

I am an ADHD Coach, and an AuDHDer who is white, trans, genderqueer, queer, chronically ill and disabled.  I am a plant parent and a knitter, and I also geek out about brains!  I love thinking about and learning about how people think, communicate, process, and learn!

I hold a BA in Holistic Psychology.  I have completed over 100 hours of ADHD-specific coach training through the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), and I have 10+ years of experience of coaching and training diverse populations.

I offer one-on-one virtual coaching for adults. I focus on working with the queer community and with folks from other marginalized communities.  All are welcome. My coaching stems from a place of kindness, patience, and frank authenticity. I really love seeing people grow and change over the course of coaching!

More about Avi

The world, and how I am showing up:

Our world is experiencing so many disasters to earth and humanity, that no one person can list or even know or comprehend every one.  That said, I am staying engaged and taking action when and how I can.  I continue to also work on learning to rest when necessary, in order to be able to continue the work.

I coach from an anti-oppression framework.  I live and work on colonized and unceded Pawtucket, and Massachusett land, also called Greater Boston, Massachusetts.  I have read the Native Governance Center’s Beyond Land Acknowledgment: A Guide.  I have also completed their Beyond Land Acknowledgment Action Planning Worksheet, and have an action plan that I will continue to work on to honor the land I live and work on.  I urge you to read and use these resources, and do your own Action Planning Worksheet, especially fellow business owners!  Sure, land acknowledgements can acknowledge the land we’re on, but more work is needed to truly support Indigenous peoples, and that means going beyond just an acknowledgement.  I will continue to support the peoples whose lives are torn apart by colonization, financially and through other actions and initiatives.

My privilege - a snapshot:

I have substantial privilege as a white person, and as a person with cis-passing privilege.   I hold a college degree, and I grew up in a middle-class home in the northeast “US”.  I am currently housed.  I am a documented citizen.  I live in an area where there are legal protections in place around access to transgender health care, and abortion.  My relationships  with my partners are legal and protected where I live.

How I identify - a snapshot, in no particular order:

Genderqueer, white, queer, superfat, transgender, multiply-neurodivergent, chronically ill and disabled, a lover of learning, nerdy, crafty, political, community-oriented.

What I will be doing:

In the future I plan to offer lower-cost coaching, open to the most marginalized folks in our communities.  If you’d like to get on the waitlist for this, please let me know.

In solidarity,

-Avi
